A little history on me…I come from a family stocked full of photographers. My parents bought me my first “real” camera when I was eighteen and from there started me on this journey. I took several courses in college and planned to make photography my minor but instead graduated early with a minor in art history so I could marry the love of my life.

Though I have loved photography for some time, it wasn’t until my children were born that I realized documentary or storytelling photography was my favorite photographic medium. There is something about freezing a moment in time and keeping it forever that played at my heartstrings. Just before my second child was born, I got my first DSLR.  Later we found out that my son had Down syndrome and photography became more then just a hobby. It became an outlet for me, to show the world how beautiful this little life was. I cherish these photos of my son and his siblings and wanted to be able to do the same for other families. You can read more about our family at Unforeseen Gifts and my favorite post here.
